When life is forlorn, gloomy and sad
Unhappiness looms and we whimper and fret
We continue to despair with full of regrets
For life is a test, yet we've failed so many quests
As we took the wrong path filled with detest
Misguided and misled by the coax of the bad zest.
When life seems euphoric, full of antics
We thought it would last enjoying our every frolic
Little did we know it's only short-lived and unrealistic
And we search high and low in a frantic
Looking for a solution permanent and secure
For life's full of pitfalls and many things unsure.
Deep down emptiness roams and the soul starts searching
For one eternal source to seek solace from, to ask for many things
And for perpetual contentment, peace and glad tidings
That otherwise seems to evade or go fleeting
Verily, behold! For there is hope amid the dark clouds
A quaint ray of light from above is in sight
In the form of a faith for all mankind in bliss and in plight
That forbids evil, spreads goodness and sanctity of rights.
Oh my eminence, my Prophet! peace be upon you
Although we've never met, I shall always love you
For you were ordained as the last of all Rasuls
To bring us ISLAM, the faith to steadfastly hold on to
You are the best of mankind to lead us through
To the path of Jannah, the ultimate abode, as the Holy Quran tells you
And if we diligently follow your Sunnah, the exemplary teachings of fame
God-willing, we will sit next to you and you will know us by name.
Truly ISLAM is my belief, my everlasting all-time saviour
It has opened doors to mankind of all walks, races and colours
To the life of piety, subservience to the Almighty
To follow the Quran and to please God is our greatest duty
A mission so heavenly laden with sincerity
It propagates steadfastness in preserving morality
And upholds one's chastity, avoids bigotry and hypocrisy
To stay away from foolishness, hatred and jealousy
And promote goodness, brotherhood and peace advocacy
These are among others that form the Islamic entity.
It listens to the deaf and it leads the blind
supporting the feeble who are oppressed by the unkind
It awakens lost souls and enlightens the minds
Empowers oneself with wisdom, courage and knowledge of all kinds
Though shrouded by misunderstandings far too long
Cloaked in unjustified hues and propaganda that are so wrong
We ardently hope you are not blinded by the lies and bad intentions
Instead get acquainted without bias and contentions
For in the end you'll be pleased to know that it is the best
For your life in this world and all the rest.
